Kristin Baetz

About the Artist:

Along with the VBI team, Kristin launched an online Art Gallery in 2025 brain injured individuals to share their creative expressions. She lives with cognitive challenges and tremors caused by functional neurological disorder with chronic migraines. However, she creates art as a form of physical therapy. For the Synapse exhibit, her work shows resilience towards her new sense of belonging. In a global community of neurodiverse humans who face unkindness, supporting these events is a conduit for change.

Artist Statement:

“My work explores emotion, connection, and the inner workings of the mind through color, form, and movement. Each piece builds on the next, reflecting a progression of thought and experience. Through painting, I seek to capture both the visible and invisible aspects of being human.”
