Columbia Synapse is a New York City-based service organization guided by principles of neuroscience, community, and advocacy for the community of individuals with brain injury and other invisible disabilities. The group draws on a wide network of resources from the City’s hospital systems to organize a diverse portfolio of programs that cultivate a community for individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI) and a greater understanding of brain injury for Columbia University and New York City. We partner with major stakeholders including international non-profits, state agencies and the New York Mayor's Office of People with Disabilities.

Voices of Brain Injury (VBI) is a registered non-profit of over 40 volunteers, committed to empowering individuals in the brain injury community. Since 2020, VBI has grown to support a community of over 2000 individuals from across the world, connected by our interviews, support group, research articles, and events. Through our various initiatives, we raise awareness of the challenges of brain injury, while providing a platform for connection, learning, and advocacy.
